The time when cinnamon rolls used to be unhealthy and a lot of work is over. So if you were ever wondering about how to make healthy and quick cinnamon rolls - check this out! These NO YEAST, OIL-FREE, VEGAN AND DAIRY-FREE CINNAMON ROLLS will 100% blow your mind.

I filled these cinnamon rolls with chocolate, cocoa, sugar and cinnamon and topped them with melted coconut butter. The combination of these ingredients was overwhelmingly delicious but feel free to fill these tasty cinnamon rolls with anything you prefer. There is also an opportunity with jam and nuts which I also really liked a lot!

I made them once and filled them with a cinnamon sugar mixture and frozen blueberries. Another suggestion could be mashed raspberries and chopped peanuts. Feel free to be creative!

The dough is only made out of 2 ingredients (flour and greek yogurt)! Consistency is super fluffy and soft - you won't even notice that these cinnamon rolls are actually healthy!

Serves: 6 cinnamon rolls

Time: 15 minutes preparation time + 45 minutes baking time


For the dough:

  • 300 grams self rising flour OR 300 GRAMS (SPELT) FLOUR + 1,5 TSP BAKING POWDER + 1 TSP BAKING SODA

  • 400 grams skyr yogurt (greek yogurt)

Chocolate filling:

  • 2 Tbsp sugar

  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder

  • 0,5 Tbsp cinnamon

  • 100 grams chocolate

Apricot filling:

  • 150 grams jam (I used apricot)

  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

  • Chopped almonds


  1. Mix all ingredients for the dough and knead for 3-5 minutes. The dough should be very soft and a little bit sticky, but not too sticky to work with.

  2. Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius.

  3. Chocolate: Mix sugar, cocoa powder and cinnamon. Chop the chocolate into pieces. Apricot: Mix jam and cinnamon. Chop the almonds.

  4. Line a small baking dish with baking sheet. On a floured surface, divide the dough into 6.

  5. Piece by piece, roll each dough piece into a rod. Chocolate: Sprinkle with cocoa, sugar and cinnamon mixture. Add chopped chocolate and roll it up. Apricot: Add 1-2 Tbsp of jam/cinnamon mixture on each rod and chopped almonds. Roll it up.

  6. Put into the prepared baking dish, optionally brush with plant based milk and bake for 45 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes.

  7. Optionally melt coconut butter in microwave or water bath and top the cinnamon rolls with it. You could also make a sugar and lemon glaze or eat the cinnamon rolls without a topping.
