These Mango Muffins are a healthy delicious treat – perfect for an afternoon or evening snack. They are also gluten, oil, and refined sugar free! Usually I am quite obsessed with chocolate, but in this case, I think the juicy, sweet flavor from the mangos more than makes up for it!

Perfectly fudgy, moist and so so good. This is how I‘d describe these mango muffins!

I used Medjool Dates to sweeten these blondies, which not only gives them a sweet caramel flavor, but also helps to make them more dense and fudgy. It’s a win-win!

If possible, use a VERY ripe mango for these muffins! It contributes to the sweetness of the recipe as well, so you really want to try to avoid those hard, slightly savory varieties.

You could also use other nut butters like peanut butter or tahini in this recipe. I really like the taste of almond butter thought.

If you‘r dates are not super soft, I recommend putting them in a bowl and soaking them in just cooked water for 10-15 minutes. Drain water afterwards and follow the remaining steps of the recipe.

If you don‘t have oat flour at home simply blend the oats in a food processor or blender. You could also use other flour like spelt or wheat flour.

Serves: 8 muffins

Time: 10 minutes preparation time + 30 minutes baking time



  • 1,5 cup mango

  • 2 cup oat flour

  • 2/3 cup almond butter

  • 1/2 cup soft dates

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • pinch of salt


  • 330 g mango

  • 200 g oat flour

  • 150 g almond butter

  • 100 g soft dates

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • pinch of salt


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius. (350 degree Fahrenheit)

  2. Put all ingredients into your food processor and blend until smooth.

  3. Grease well small cups, e.g. muffin cups and fill in the dough portionwise. (About 2 tablespoon for each cup.)

  4. Bake for 30 minutes.

  5. When cooled slightly, add toppings like melted chocolate, melted coconut butter, pistachios and coconut flakes. You could add any toppings you like. They even taste delicious without any topping.
