TWO INGREDIENT VEGAN CROISSANTS

Sometimes all I need are some buttery, chocolaty, flaky croissants. It is amazing how quick you can have freshly baked croissants with two ingredients when using store bought puff pastry.


This is probably the easiest and quickest way to get some pastries for when you crave something sweet and buttery.

All you need is puff pastry (I used spelt puff pastry from the supermarket) and your favorite chocolate cream, or any filling you want.

I also sometimes love to add bananas or peanut butter and jelly or simply apricot jam into these fluffy and tasty pastries! I filled these croissants with my self-made vegan cashew chocolate cream.


This recipe makes four medium sized croissants.


Ingredients:

  • 270 g store bought puff pastry

  • 4 tbsp chocolate cream (or filling of choice)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 220 degree Celsius.

  2. Slice the puff pastry into 4 triangles (see picture).

  3. Fill with chocolate cream and bake at 220 degree Celsius for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
